What does your role involve?
Beginning of 2023, I was promoted to Service Manager Mexico. My main task is to manage the Mexican service team in the field along with the Job Site Manager. I’m the point of contact between the service team, the customers, and the suppliers. Our team in Mexico is very responsive and highly involved. I’m also regularly in contact with the other subsidiaries: Germany, Czech Republic, and Brazil and work closely with the Service Director of the JUNKER Group. It’s a constant communication, and sometimes we no longer feel the time difference or the distance.
"I am grateful that my team recognizes the positive input I can bring as a woman."
What do you particularly like about your job?
I truly enjoy working in the Service department. It’s very dynamic, and every day is different. We have to be as reactive as possible to offer the best assistance to our customers. It’s often long-term relationships that I have been building over the past years.
How would you describe being a woman in the manufacturing industry?
Nowadays, we see more and more gender diversity within organizations, including in the manufacturing industry. I am grateful that my team appreciates all the work and efforts I have put into these last few years and recognizes the positive input I can bring as a woman. All along, the management team has been very supportive, and I had the possibility to combine professional and personal growth. I had the chance to work remotely during my pregnancy until I was able to come back in person. I hope to inspire other women to be career driven in this industry like I inspired close friends and family for example. Although it’s still difficult, I see more and more women in the field.
